A long time ago before there was Japan, there was only the “Takamanohara” heaven. One day, the Gods discussed and decided to create a new country in the realm below. “Inazagi” and “Inazami” were chosen by the supreme God to carry out the task with the help of the long handle spear “AmenoNuboko”.
Together, the two Gods grabbed the “Ameno-Nuboko” and stirred up the dark sea. As they drew up the “Ameno-Nuboko”, a glistening droplet of sea-water fell from the spear point form an island in the ocean. It was “Onogorojima”, the first island of Japan. Inazagi and Inazami descended to the island to build a palace where they held their wedding ceremony. In the centre of the palace stood a pillar – the Heavenly August Pillar – which was the “Amano-Nuboko”. Together, the two Gods circled the pillar with promises of love for each other.
From then, other islands of Japan were created.
Carrying the inner strength of the Ameno bar, Nuboko restaurant was born to bring something new but no less poetic. Every dish we create carries the majestic sound of the triumphant song of stone and fire.
